AHR in NYC (kinda long, with pics)
So,
we're finally married! Well, yes, we HAVE been married since July, but
we finally had our last party for the wedding, so we keep joking that
we're finally married officially. The AHR this past weekend in NYC was wonderful! We had 42 guests at Tavern on the Green.
Neither of us had ever been to TOTG before.....his parents had planned
the whole thing (it was mostly for their family/friends). It was
beautiful and crazy all at the same time. A little too ornate of a
setting for my tastes, but it was kind of cool having our party at a New York icon. The rest of the weekend was awesome as well. We spent a lot of time in Central Park....eating lunch at the boathouse and renting a boat. We saw Shrek
the Musical, which I LOVED! I didn't, honestly, have high hopes going
into it, since I knew none of the music was the same as the movie (and I love the movie), but
I liked this even better. We also went to Top of the Rock, at
several Nesties suggestions. Very cool, and excellent views (MH loved
the photo shots he got up there). They also have these photographers up
there who'll take photos of you that you can buy on a disk when you
leave. Normally we wouldn't do such a touristy thing, but since we only had MH's very expensive fancy camera (which he
won't let a stranger touch), we decided to go for it to get shots of
the both of us.....they actually turned out really well!Check out a few pics from the trip and party:

I agree! Pics are lovely! TOTG looks very elegant. I'm also loving' the purple dress (my favorite color!).
