Hey ladies-
I have not been around for a while, two kids keeps you crazy busy, haha. Its hard to get on the computer, let alone browse the message boards. We are slowly but surely getting the hang of it all. Well, we are still planning on moving out to San Francisco. Official move date is November 10 as of now. However, we just found out yesterday that my mom has breast cancer. I am really worked up about it, especially because of the move. They say they have caught it very early, she has been having mammograms every 6 months for like 2 years now because of a fibrotic tissue build up taht they were watching in her left breast. This time they found the lump, but she can't even feel it from the outside. They biopsied two places and only one was cancerous. At this point it looks like a lumpectomy will take care of it, but still, all very scary. She'll have to be on medication then for the next 5 years. I just can't believe that I have to move with my mom going through all of this. I am hoping that it can all be done in the next 3 and a half weeks so i can be here for her. I am very close with my mom, so its just so tough, and I'm sure you ladies understand with close relationship with your mom. I know that God is faithful and He will heal her as he sees fit. Everyone has reassured her how cureable it is so we are all trying to stay positive. I am just scared you know? Thanks for reading. Hope you all are well.

Your feelings are totally justified! I'm glad they caught it early enough and that you are able to be home with her for a few more weeks, rather than hearing the news in California. Make the most of every moment with her!
FWIW, my mom has been cancer free for over 17 years. They found a lump during a routine mammogram, she acted quickly with a masectomy and she's been fine ever since! I wish the same for your mom.
I'm so sorry to hear that, Jess.
I'll keep you and your mom in my prayers. Just try and stay strong for her. *hugs*
