60th B-day Ideas / Bed & Breakfast Recs.

Hey Girls,

My MIL's 60th b-day will be coming up in March and my SIL's & BIL's want everyone to come up with some ideas so we can all decide on something.

If we did a dinner there would be about 24 people invited, they want to kepp it somewhat intimate.  Is there a restaurant that you would Rec. that has a party room for a nice dinner?

Second question is that I was thinking we could send MIL & FIL to aa Bed & Breakfast or something for the weekend, I thought it would be a nice getaway for them.  Any Recs. for those (it can be anywhere up to 3 or 4 hours away).

Thanks for your help and any other Ideas!  :)

Re: 60th B-day Ideas / Bed & Breakfast Recs.

  • For dinner:  Montgomery Inn, White house Inn, The Celestial

For B&B- Murphin Ridge Inn B&B

  • White House Inn does lots of groups so they're used to large parties.  We had our RD at Grand Finale.  They have a private upstairs room or another area on the main floor off to the side so you can have privacy.  I think it's a good value considering how great the food tastes!  Or maybe a pizza place or Mexican if you want something casual?

As far as B&Bs, the Clifton House is nice if they want to stay local.  I went to Murphin Ridge Inn with my parents (romantic, huh?!?) last fall.  The rooms/cabins are newer but plain in a Shaker style.  There are no TVs or phones in the rooms and cell phones can be spotty.  It's a great place for someone who likes to relax, hike, and enjoy nature, a bad place for someone who likes to sit around and watch TV all day!  The food at the inn is really good but not good for a picky eater.

You can search for other B&Bs on this site: http://www.bbonline.com/

I would love to go to Ohio's Amish country and stay at any of the hotels in this group:
