Earlier christmas card post got me thinking...
After getting married it is normally a big ordeal to get your "first married christmas" ornament for your tree... so has anyone put any thought into it yet... I actually jumped the gun and ordered ours online. They were already coming out in stores and I knew they would be picked over as usual but I didnt like any I had seen so like I said I ordered ours early. We both love it! So has anyone else looked, ordered, bought?

Ours was actually a wedding gift! We got this one:
It's made by Lennox.
However, all the women in my immediate family have some sort of holiday "collection": my mom is mittens, my aunt J is snowmen, my aunt M is santa clauses, etc. Mine is gingerbread men/candy. So, I'm hoping to find a gingerbread bride/groom or something to add to our tree. We can have two "Our First Christmas" ornaments, right? :-)
I just thought about it today actually when I was at Lowe's getting grilling stuff...which is seasonal, so right next to Christmas. Yes, we can have both in the same season here. Sigh. I didn't see any first Christmas ones there (not expecting to), but I did see an adorable "Made in the USA" baby ornament! lol Might have to buy that for our friends...
I have a feeling my mom will soon be gifting us with an ornament for this year.
But yes, SBS, you can have two (or more). I will definitely be buying us one, too. If anyone sees one with Goofy marrying Cinderella, let me know!

A few years ago my mom started getting me these "S'mores" ornaments, (they are so cute it's like a little marshmellow person on top of a piece of chocolate and graham cracker) and I love them! She gave me this one which is an "our first christmas" wedding S'more one when we got back from our honeymoon, she was afraid she would forget to give it to us at Christmas! http://www.flyingcloudgifts.com/photos/sm921869.JPG (sorry I still can't figure out how to PIP)
and I totally think you can have more then one
I'm sure I'll buy a couple and I bet we'll get at least one more from David's Stepmom, she loves stuff like that!

We haven't gotten one yet, but definitely will! I love ornaments and have dated ones from each year of my life. I am currently collecting the annual Swarovski crystal snowflakes. Savannah, where did you get that adorable personalized one?
I love the idea of gifting each other an ornament each year- might have to copy that one!
Thanks guys! we ordered ours from personalcreations.com it's a neat website! I definitely think it's fine to have more than one, we have two or three engaged ornaments... so I'm sure someone will get us another married one. Oh and I love the smores ornaments, they were one of the few sets that I could find a pregnancy ornament from for my sister she LOVED it!... it was a pregnant smores with a shirt on the said baby and an arrow to the belly.
