Woo hoo!

Just looking at my most recent paycheck - two things happened:

1) I just got my retropay for being without a contract last semester (+3%)

2) Just went up another year in seniority on the payscale - + 5000$! I didn't think that would happen until November or December. Now, the question is do we want to put that money towards a trip to England or a new flat screen tv...

Re: Woo hoo!

  • flat screen flat screen flat screen!

at least, that's what I want.  if you get one, invite me over please!

  • Wow, what a huge pay jump!  I'm assuming you don't get that extra $5k every year you move up in seniority, do you?!  That would be waaaaaaaaaay sweet!!!!  Good for you!

  • Nice!! Congrats on the raise too! I've never been to England before so I'd vote for England =) But flat screen TV is nice too...hehe, we don't even have a TV and I still go for England =P

  • Anna - any time you want, you're welcome in my mousey house! (It's been two nights sans the mice so I'm hoping the poison has kicked in) I get about 3500$ more for every year I stick it out as a teacher. My salary will max out in seven years though at just over 80,000 and that's it for pay raises forever.I'm not complaining though! I think Canadian teachers make more than American ones do. I've been to England several times, but Phil's family is there so we should visit them soon.
  • England!  Flat screen TVs are nice but so is England!!
  • Sweet!  I'd have a hard time choosing between the tv and England!

  • if it was me, i'd say England...but flat screen tvs (check costco!) don't cost that much anymore so maybe both :-).
