Re: my posts below about the wedding:
DH and I decided to just go to the reception, since the sitter situation was too complicated and we didn't want to bother the bride, who we assummed would be freaking out about the last minute change of venue. My cousin was feeling fine so she came to watch Marino. Well, get this: we got to the reception at the time the cocktail hour was supposed to be, and it was changed to the ceremony! So, we actually got there in time to see the ceremony, they shortened the cocktail hour to half and hour and the reception started at the scheduled time. We had a great time, even though we didn't know anyone. They seated us with other folks who didn't know anyone, but they were all very friendly and outgoing - we were sad to say goodbye!
The poor bride though...she had to rush to DC to get married in Union Station, since her marriage certificate was from DC (reception was in MD). She had a migraine and was throwing up all day, the ceremony and reception were both delayed b/c she was so sick. Poor thing. The wedding was gorgeous, though. It was the only wedding I've ever cried at (I didn't even cry at my own). The officiant said some really touching things and vow mean a lot more to me now given what DH and I have been through in the last 18 months.
Thanks for all your advice. Isn't it great when things come together unexpectedly?
