update!
We bought a house in Prairieville and close mid-November! So I work in BR during the week and stay with a friend in Gonzales, and then go home to New Orleans on weekends. Less than a month and we'll be official homeowners! Now, all we have to set up is cable, internet, phone, water, electricity, security system, deliver appliances, and move. Not too much!
Stupid question from an apartment-renter, who exactly is the water company in Prairieville? I googled it and a few companies show up. I was confused since I've never had to pay a water bill in an apt. TIA!
