Has anyone stayed in Amish Country?
I know it sounds kind of dorky, but I used to love going there as a child. I'd love to go back and take a tour, visit the farms, etc.
Does anyone know of a good place to stay/eat/go?
Are there even tours of Amish life of a museum?
(I'm probably making myself look stupid right now... sorry, been up since 2:30am, and have been baking to pass the time...)
Re: Has anyone stayed in Amish Country?
If you're referring to the NE Ohio Amish country, I grew up there, I can make some good recommendations.
I would stay at the Barn Inn ... http://www.thebarninn.com/ I've never personally stayed there, but I know a few people who have and really liked it.
For visiting an amish farm, there's Schrock's Amish Farm near Berlin. I don't think they have a website. But local tourist places would have brochures.
If you have any other questions, let me know, I can make more recommendations.
