Hi there! I am responsible for planning my company's holiday party this year, and am hoping for venue suggestions in the downtown Boston area. We will have about 50 people, and don't want to spend a crazy amount of money, but also want it to be nice. We are open to either going to a restaurant, or a location where we'd need to hire a caterer. We are a very diverse group, but definitely need both vegetarian and meat options. We would be open to something in the north end, etc. Thanks!
Re: Planning Holiday party
I'm not much help. My department switches between hosting it in one of the conferance rooms in the building and the Four Seasons (talk about two extremes!).
A hotel that also has a restaurant in it may have a cartering and room rental packages for functions (similar for weddings).
We had a company holiday party at Ruth's Chris Steak House (I think they offer vegetarian options too). Food and service was good.
You could also look into some of the hotels downtown, like the Boston Harbor Hotel or the Intercontinental.
