How was everyone's weekend?
What a weird weekend it was!
Ours was good.. Saturday I ran some errands with my mom, then DH and I went for dinner at the ILs.
Yesterday we pretty much stayed inside all day and avoided the crazy weather! I could not get over the snowflakes - some of them were the biggest ones I have ever seen!
Re: How was everyone's weekend?
It was okay; nothing special. We ran a bunch of errands and bought our new front loading washer and dryer.
I made yummy chicken parm and we tried out a new wine (called sangiovese) which I actually really enjoyed.
Sunday we had lunch out, got groceries, and watched the Pats demolish Tennessee.
Ours was good. Saturday was the social day and Sunday was kind of anti-social.
Saturday we went to visit our families, to say hello, discuss house-hunting (yay!), and to give them a nudge about selecting photos for their parent albums (and providing the technical assistance needed to do so).
Sunday DH was out with friends for the day, and he took the car, so I was stranded at home with the bunny. I did some chores and sorted through all of the HM pics.

We had a good weekend. Saturday we slept in and then met my family for lunch and a little grocery shopping. We stayed in that night and just watched a movie and relaxed. Yesterday we got together with some NorCal friends who were in town for a wedding and cooked them dinner and just hung out at home. It was a nice night despite the weather.
Ya that was pretty effin sweet, huh!
Jealous! We need a new W/D so badly... hoping someone decides to give us a bunch of money sometime soon
Weekend was ok... we were at the ILs in Maine- it was interesting! My SILs puppy jumped up on my husband's lap when he was holding a beer so the bottle slammed into his mouth & he now has a chipped (possibly cracked) tooth... all in all the animals (all 4: our kitty & dog & their 13 yo & 3 1/2 month old dogs) got along relatively nicely. I'm a little drained from a weekend with the ILs and it was nice to get back home!

Our weekend was really great. Friday night we went down to mohegan sun to see my brother's fight (he won!) and have dinner with my parents, aunt, & cousins and it was a really fun night.
Saturday we went out to breakfast and then apple picking- it was a perfect day for it! Saturday night we had a birthday party at a friend's house.
Yesterday we cleaned, DH watched football, I cooked a ton (beef stew, apple sauce, apple crisp, and smokey pork pasta in the slow cooker), and I read. It was really really relaxing and nice to stay in out of the snow!
We were putting up halloween decorations yesterday and we both kept saying that it felt like we should be putting up christmas decorations because of the weather!
We got a pretty good deal on ours (LG). They were originally $599.99 each on sale for $509.99. The washer isn't huge (3.5 cu ft) but it is just the two of us and we aren't planning on having a baby for a few years. A lot of places are offering free financing right now too. And you may be able to finagle free delivery.
Jealous of these wonderful front loading washer/dryers! I LOVE to do laundry, and have the best things about these.
Our weekend was great, we had a couple of friends in from out of town so we went to the North End for Italian on Friday, and also stopped in at Mike's Pastry. On Saturday, we met up with some friends in the South End, I'd never really been down there before, its so adorable! And we went to the Belgian Beer Fest, there were over 100 different kinds of beer, and they had these delicious belgian waffles too! I don't think I've been that buzzed by 9:30pm in a loooong time, it felt like college!
We had a fun/busy weekend!
We flew to NYC on Saturday to hang out with DH's friend who is a professional basketball player and was playing a pre-season game against NY. I did some shopping with his wife. That was fun! I got a new coat and a pair of boots. In the evening we decided we'd stay in and get take out so we all sat in one hotel room eating yummy French food, watching movies and drinking.
Sunday was the basketball game. Tel Aviv vs. New York. DH's friend plays for Tel Aviv. It was a fun/interesting game. Since Tel Aviv doesn't follow NBA rules there were a few mishaps. Mostly the coach acting childish, in my opnion. The coach was kicked out of the game, 3/4 of the way into it, but he wouldn't leave! Otherwise it was a fun game to watch. Tel Aviv lost to the Knicks. We flew back shortly after the game and landed to wonderful October snow.
I hate Mondays... still.
Saturday we spent the night in Rhode Island for a college friend's wedding.
Sunday was spend in comfy clothes playing, video games and trying to look at the snow.
Busy!
Friday and Saturday I had a meeting in CT for a group I volunteer for, and then we stopped by to see my grandma on the way back to my parents' Saturday evening- who showed me some pictures of our wedding, asking who one certain person was, and we discovered our neighbor (who we don't know, he's rather unfriendly) crashed our wedding!?
?Sunday my parents came home with us so that we could bring some wedding gifts and our sideboard that matches our dining room set in their minivan, but with snow and mass pike traffic, it took us forever to get home, so simply getting stuff out of their house and into ours took us almost the entire day. But we did manage to get to the apple orchard for a peck and a half of apples, and 3 pumpkins
On the plus side, I'm finally relatively healthy again, unlike last week.?
It was pretty good!
Saturday we were just getting home from the week on Nantucket, so we cleaned the house, ran some errands, did grocery shopping and then I made butternut squash soup and we hung out in PJs and caught up on DVR
Sunday we slept in, read the paper and then went to our local bar for the Pats game. We barely walked in the door and it started snowing. DH was glad he had turned down tickets for this weekend!

I know!!! I'm so indignant. My mom wants to go over and give him a photo and point out his presence in it. heh. (I doubt she will)
