So let's talk Grey's...
Okay for the entire first half I was like WTF this is the most obnoxious episode ever! They WAY over-did the competition thing, it was just too much.
The second half was still annoying with it, but that was overshadowed by Izzie.
OMG I can't believe she left Alex! I LOVE them together!!! I really hope it isn't the end for them!

I agree that the new people coming in and taking over all at once was a bit overdone. I have a strong "dislike" for the Reed and Charles characters. The other 2 newbies were alright. They took care of themselves but didn't really steamroll anyone else in the process.
I'm kinda hoping that it comes out that Charles gave Izzie the wrong labs and thats why the mistake was made. I think she needed to take a break though. She clearly wasn't ready to come back. I can't believe she just walked out on Alex though. I can't wait to see what happens there.
Loved the resolution between Callie and her dad.
Also loved Christina's breakdown. To see her finally show emotion was refreshing. .... Do you watch Private Practice too? It continued the Bailey/ kidney transplant storyline and left me with a few questions about continued crossovers .....
SPOILERS FROM THAT LINK - that would make sense, since they said it's just going to be a break from the show, and she isn't gone permanantly. I agree that Izzy wasn't ready yet, and I cannot believe she left Alex! I wasn't expecting that at. all.
I agree, I love when they show Cristina show emotion. It rarely happens though haha. And ya I watch PP.. I was totally not feeling the Bailey/Sam thing at all, I thought it was so weird!
DUDE where the eff was McSteamy in this episode?!?! He wasn't in it at all! And I am so done with liking the chief.. the past few episodes he has really driven me nuts!
I'm glad to hear that Izzie isn't leaving permanently, they've done an amazing job developing her character, and I don't like how they've had so many people just randomly leave/gone from the show.
There wasn't enough closure when George died, Burke just took off never to return, and Erica Hunt walked into the parking lot and never came back (not that she was a main character or my favorite). Addison's really the only one I can remember that left w/ some sort of full explanation, and that's partially b/c she has a spin off that sometimes overlaps!

LOL Buckeye! I agree, they have left a lot of things hanging.. Although George and Burke I knew were leaving the show, so I guess I didn't question it too much when it happened.
What ever happened to Hunt though? I don't even remember how they wrote her off, or why (IRL)?
I remember initially hearing rumors that NBC execs were uncomfortable with the lesbian relationship, but that obviously can't be true as they wrote in Arizona. Probably didn't like their chemistry, and I mixed up the names, she was Hahn, not Hunt I think.
