Hi-ya & crafty nesties come in

Hey ladies - it's been a while since I've been able to post on here regularly. Sammy is so active now that I feel like I'm chasing her all day long. Oh and she rarely naps, which makes many things difficult, especially nesting! She will be 10 months next  week. How crazy! I'm can't believe how fast time has gone! I need to decide by the end of this month about going back to work. I feel very torn about it though. Otherwise, things are going really well with our little family!

I've been poking around here a bit - I see new nesties which is very exciting! And I also see lots of pregnancy tickers much further along! I'm so excited for all of you - the next few months are going to be full of birth announcements!

 So here's my crafty question:

We are having a big family get together this weekend at our place and we're using mostly disposable plates, cutlery and napkins. I want to wrap the cutlery in the coloured napkins. In the past I've just wrapped it up and then tied it with a ribbon but I'd like to do something different.

I'd appreciate any ideas - TIA!

  • What about tying them wit raffia and maybe tying on a season "foamie" fro Michaels?

  • You could cut out some designer paper and/or cardstock into large circles, fold it in half & punch 2 small holes to put some ribbon or twine through and then add a little tag for each person. Kind of like this:http://www.stampinup.com/ca/images/FP_JULY2009_USCA_LG.jpg

Or, you can make cones with paper and put the napkin & cutlery in them. I can think of some other ideas but I'm so busy at work!

I was thinking rafia and maybe a plasticy leaf from Michaels.

I don't really have any good ideas; I just wanted to say hi!

  • I like all these ideas! Thanks so much. THis calls for a trip to Michael's which is always a little dangerous for me!
