Help me find a Dissertation title

I'm trying to find as many sayings/expressions/idioms that have to do with seeing/eyes. As in: Seeing is believing. What you see is what you get. etc.

If they have to do with seeing AND hearing, you get extra points.

These will probably come in the form of useless Nest points.

TIA!

Re: Help me find a Dissertation title

  • Oooh this reminds me of a game we used to play at youth group, where you  had to think of as many songs as you could with a certain word in them.

    Okay hmm...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

    Seeing eye to eye.

    An eye for an eye...

    Bird's eye view

I could keep going but then I'd be cheating because I found this:

    http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/eye

  • Oh!  Do I get extra points because I thought of "eye of the beholder" before I scrolled down and I didn't use a website?

    Also:

"See no evil, hear no evil"

"What you see is what you get"

    "Wait and see"

    "Good eye"

    I will keep thinking...

  • Ojos que no ven, corazon que no siente.

Translation: eyes that do not see, heart that does not feel.

English equivalent: Out of sight, out of mind.

  • Apple of my eye

    Turn a blind eye

    Lend me your ear

    Eye candy

    In your mind's eye

    See eye to eye

    Love at first sight

    I love this.

  • What about "On ne voit pas q'avec le coeur, les essentials sont invisibles a les yeux"

"One does not see except for with the heart, what is essential is invisible to the eyes"

    It's from The Little Prince.

  • You are all so effective! Thank you! It will be a few weeks (at best) before I finalize a title, but I'll let you know what I end up with! If I can figure out a way to use "Eye candy" in my PhD Thesis, I think that will be just awesome.

Make just... I love the game you're talking about. I tried to play it at my friend's baby shower but no one would really play along. Can we play it on TN without cheating?? I think it wouldn't be as fun if it wasn't accompanied by bad singing.
