State College Optometrist?
I need to get my eyes checked and prescription changed. I have a list of providers acceptable with our insurance, but I'd love to see if any of them match up with good (or bad!) experiences you've had. Anyone have a local eye doctor they'd recommend, or recommend I stay far away from?
Thanks women!

Re: State College Optometrist?
I really liked Happy Valley Optical - but they don't really "mesh" well with the PSU eye insurance...so if you have that insurance, they might not be the best. DH and I see Dr. Assalita, she's fine but does not have a huge selection of glasses - and charges incredibly too much for contacts. But as an eye doctor she is good.
(Side note, I order contacts from vision direct and I think I might get my next pair of glasses from Target)
I had been going to Dr. Anderson at Advacned Eye Assoicates (or something like that - apparently I picked the first eye doctor alphabetically) but will be looking for a new doctor. He's not bad, I just feel that there may be someone better. DH isn't really happy with him either.
I'm going to make an appt with Dr. Falsone in Centre Hall. DH had seen him before when he was at Pearle Vision in the mall and said he did a very good job at fitting contacts.
