Marital fashion problem at new low

For many months now, C and I have had a bit of a wardrobe issue. Specifically, 9 times out of 10 we leave the house and realize we match. For our state marriage, we met at the courthouse and were both wearing jeans and maroon sweaters. We went to run errands and wore khakis and black t-shirts. It's not that these outfits are so outrageous that it's surprising we match - it's that it happens ALL THE TIME and we both want to puke.

Today we hit a new low. In our cleaning, C realized he had 2 of the exact same sweatshirt and put one in the charity pile (which is in my office). Today, C left for work and I was still sleeping. I was freezing while working and I put on the sweatshirt that was in the charity pile. He picked me up to run a quick errand. When I got to the car, he stared at me and said, "You've got to be kidding me." We were wearing the same freakin shirt!!

You're right. I would have been so pissed if he showed up in the same dress as I did. I wouldn't have walked down the aisle.

I thought Mike and I were the only ones who had this issue! Funny story: we used to have a dryer that used to snag clothes and put a cashew shaped hole in things (though we never figured out where it was snagging...). Anyway, we both had a CrossFit t-shirt (the same t-shirt, otherwise it'd be irrelevant to this post) that we'd wear with a cashew shaped hole in the exact same spot. We always ended up wearing that shirt to the gym on the same days, flaunting our matching holes.

We do this too! With colors, and also we have a couple of the same shirts from college. it happens way more often than it should.

That's a really cute story. One day I met DH at the mall for dinner and we were both wearing polo shirts with the Polo logo. We laughed and didn't think anything of it until a 13 year old girl passed us and said, "Aw, they match, isn't that cute?". Me=0, 13 year old=1

Yup, we definitely do this all the time. We will both be getting ready to go out to dinner or with friends and will walk out of where we were each getting ready wearing very similar outfits! We have been doing this randomly since we started dating!
