So happy to be back after 10 days back east!

Nikhil & headed back east (NYC and Boston) for a wedding and to see my vollege friends and extended family.  I don't think I've ever been this happy to get back to NM!  I missed the mountains, the low humidity, the open spaces, the QUIET, the green chile.

OMG, are big cities noisy. You know, I lived in Boston for 8 years and I forgot just how bad the noise, the traffic, the crowds, etc. all were.  And how expensive it was.....

  • Welcome back! I did NYC for three days and couldn't take anymore...I don't see how you survived Boston for 8 years!
Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • Always good to remind yourself that you already live where you are happiest  :)

I hope that you had fun visiting everyone though.

  • It was fun to see everyone.  And to eat my way through both cities!

But it definitely reminded me that the kid I was in college has outgrown a lot of her old life.  And that moving the the boonies as all my urbanite NYC, Boston, San Fran friends call  NM was the best thing for me.

  • Welcome back!  I know what you mean about missing the peace and quiet of NM.  DH and I visit his family in NY every year, and as fun as it is, I'm always ready to come back home.  It feels like everywhere you go there's crowds, traffic, and lots and lots of noise.  Although I have to admit, I LOVE the food in NY, and I always come home with having gained an extra couple of pounds.
