so i found a clinic (the Butler County clinic) giving the vax 40 mins from my house tomorrow and saturday. do i go and wait in line and get the vax or should i wait until the pedi gets it, which they still don't have it and can't give me any indication as to when. i am thinking they will not have it until november some time.
if you are doing the vax for dc, wwyd? oh and Carson is in daycare fulltime.
TIA!
Re: swine flu vax question?
You'll probably get more responses over on the Cincinnati Bump.

HTH!
thanks! i did not know there was a board for cinti babies=-)
The CDC recommends that anyone between the ages of 6 months and 24 years receive the vaccine as this age group is at highest risk of catching the virus. I would wait in line and get the vaccine. People are really scared right now and if you want to get it, I would jump on any chance you find to try and get it. I'm sure that eventually, there will be enough for most people, but right now, the vaccine is in short supply and the CDC is recommending anyone in the 5 high-risk target groups get the vaccine ASAP. If you have any more questions about H1N1, the CDC's website has a lot of useful information.

Hope this helps!
What Walgreens did you find that has it?
My DH and I are getting ours on Saturday, but the clinic we're going to was full when a friend of mine tried to make an appointment. She's pregnant, so she really wants to get the vaccine ASAP.
She already called Butler County, and they told her they're only doing residents. She can't do the Warren Clinic because it's flu mist only and she needs the shot. The Norwood clinic is full. The Cincy health clinic for pregnant women is full. Those are the ones she has tried. I told her I'd keep an eye out for any other openings, since I feel a little guilty that I'm able to get it on Saturday and she's not (we have a baby who's in daycare, so I don't want to give up our slots either).
