How Long Did Your Pics Take?

Our wedding was 2 months ago and we've only seen a few teasers so far.  I was wondering how long it took some of you to see your on-line proofs.  I know our photographer is very thorough with retouching all of them but we're getting very anxious.  I just wasn't sure what the norm is.  TIA!

Re: How Long Did Your Pics Take?

  • Like 2-3 weeks to see the online edited proofs.  Our photographer shot in digital.  I think those that shoot in film generally take longer...like 6-8 weeks?

  • Ours shot in digital too.  I didn't want to push them if we were being unrealistic in our expectations.
  • Did you take a look at your contract? Usually a lot of photographers will put a timeline somewhere in there

  • Who's your photog?  Our took about 2 months I believe which is longer than what the contract said but our photog has been super super busy this year so we just had to be patient and wait.
  • Ours was film and took about 5 weeks.
  • Our online proofs were available in less than 2 weeks, and SIL had hers in just about a week. Unless your contract states a longer time frame, I think after 2 months it's reasonable to put in a feeler call or e-mail to ask what the status is. I hope you get your pics soon!

  • Thanks guys.  I didn't even think to check the contract.  I was surprised to see that it says they'll be ready "ordinarily" within 3 weeks of the wedding.  However, I know they had to let someone go that was helping with the editing and they've been booked almost every weekend.  I've sent them another email but I guess we'll just have to be patient!
  • We got married on 8-22 and just got the web ones on Thurs she is still working on the cd so we can print and no idea how long the album will take.  I know what you mean about getting anxious it was driving me nuts, but it was worth the wait!!
