SD zoo on Thanksgiving weekend
Ladies,
I am planning to do a trip to visit SD zoo with my family. Do you know if the zoo is going to be crazy packed for Thanksgiving weekend? Thank you

sorry, we've never been during thanksgiving. it's not so crazy around here w/ tourists this time of year unlike summer~ 4th of july weekend is insane!

Actually, it's VERY busy Thanksgiving weekend. ?I work at the zoo....:)
?If you can avoid it, do NOT go the Friday after thanksgiving. EVERYONE and their mother is there! ?That is the worst day. ?Saturday is still crowded, and Sunday is the least of them all. ?Come in the morning if you can (9), and get out before it's too crowded.?
?And if you and your guests want to take a bus tour, do it FIRST THING. ?The line to ride the bus gets VERY busy. ?It's worth it, but busy.
?So when you come, be patient, bring water, and plan on being around a ton of other people if you get there around 12.?

Is the zoo open on Thursday Thanksgiving weekend? Will it be better if we choose that day instead? Thank you
The zoo is open 365 days a year, so yes it will be open Thanksgiving day. ?Definitely a better day than Friday.?
