Bring on the Backflips
Totally random but I needed to share.
So my brother who is two years younger than me was dating a WONDERFUL girl last September until this last June when they broke up because he wasn't sure if he ever wanted to have kids and having kids was definitely high on her priority list. We thought that they were getting close to engagement not that. Honestly we were all really devastated as we really liked her. My dad was crushed because he thought she was the one and he thought somehow it was his fault.
As a sort of rebound my brother decided to do this program called WWOFing (organic farming where you live and work on a farm in exchange for room and board). None of us were all that thrilled as we didn't understand who would want to do this for no pay but he wanted this experience so whatever. Well we (my parents, DH and I) were really hoping this would set him straight at least a little bit and he would get back together with his ex when he got home but none of us said anything. My brother came home two days ago and today I got a text
Julie and I are back together (insert big Krista happy grin)
Yayay! I called my parents and asked if my dad was doing backflips yet. My brother told my mom that they are very serious and led her to believe that this will lead to marriage. I haven't talked to him yet about how they resolved the kids issue but they must have come to some agreement.
Needless to say I'm pretty pumped.
edit- I'm glad I didn't delete her as my FB friend.
