Halloween Candy Poll

What kind of candy do you buy?

How much do you get?

How many kids do you typically get at your place?

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container?

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers?

  • This is the first year we'll be giving out candy! (And moving in on the 30th, joy)

What kind of candy do you buy? I bought chocolate bars and sour candies

How much do you get? I bought 200 pieces total

How many kids do you typically get at your place? I've been told to expect at least 100 by my boss, who lives 2 subdivisions over.

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container? I'll be placing it in their loot bag

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers? You bet!

  • What kind of candy do you buy? Thinking of getting a mix of chocolate bars.

How much do you get? Have no idea how much to get. We are always on vacation in October so this will be our first Halloween here. I am thinking 150-200.

How many kids do you typically get at your place? See above.

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container? Will place it in their bag.

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers?Hellz yes!

  • What kind of candy do you buy? usually we hand out toothbrushes and chocolate bars

How much do you get? I usually get enough for 50 kids

How many kids do you typically get at your place? 10 if we're lucky.  We live across the street from a huge mall where the stores all hand out candy to the kids so most people in our area take their kids there insteadof the neighborhood.

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container? nope, I do up treat bags

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers? yes

  • I buy different stuff each year, but always something non-candy. ?This year we have super bounce balls. ?Last year was plastic rings & chocolate ( rings were spiders, skulls, or bats) and the first year here we had play d-oh. ?I also have candy necklaces this year.

    ?

First year I had 92 pieces, and I would say about 35-45 kids came by (so some got multiple pieces, the rest went to the neighbours in home daycare).

This year I have about 65 balls, and 50 necklaces. ?I plan to get goldfish snack packs for the under 3 kids, since candy necklaces and balls are both choking hazards.

    ?

I let kids pick the colour of item, but I place it in their bag.?

    ?

I try not to buy something I like, or I'll eat it all. ?But I do buy things I think are fun (hence the toys/trinkets that I can unload to the neighbours afterwards).

    ?

Also, sometimes I buy special candy for the kids in my cul-de-sac (about 7 of them). ?Last year I got rock crystal sticks from the gourmet candy shop for them.?

What kind of candy do you buy? I get mine from Costco, it's a huge bag of mixed candy/sour keys/jelly candy etc. and it's under $10.00!

How much do you get? 2 bags aprox 300/400 peices (they're small)

How many kids do you typically get at your place? last year we had over 80 - we also started late..darn takeot took forever! The kids were out before 5:30pm!

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container? I place it in myself...I hate to admit it but the cuter/smaller kids I give extra too and the ones taller than me like the teenagers I give 1 peice only

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers? no and thats the exact reason why! my A$$ will thank me later for it!

  • Usually a few bags of chocolate bars and a bag of tootsie pops.

We typically get, no kids at all

If we did get kids I'd say "Go crazy help yourselves!" ?

And of course I buy what we like. ?I am ever hopeful that we will get trick or treaters but we live in the boonies on a busy road (weird combo I know) ?so not many people around her get trick or treaters.?

  • What kind of candy do you buy? Usually a mix of the small chocolate bars

How much do you get? About 60

How many kids do you typically get at your place? 15-25

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container? I start by placing it in their bags but then by the end will usually let them take as much as they want.

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers? Yes, but I usually eat it through out the night and then try to get rid of the leftovers.

  • What kind of candy do you buy?

chocolate bars and rockets, the chewy allan's candy (sweedish berries, fuzzy peaches, etc), all candy is good candy in my books

    How much do you get?

last year was the first at our place, had no clue how many to expect, so  I probably bought enough for about 200 (we also had a 40 person party, so I was buying for them too). This year we'll be out, so no candy =(

How many kids do you typically get at your place?

we had only 2 visits, 4 kids in total, thank goodness I had all the party people over to eat the candy! I don't feel bad we won't be home this year to give stuff out.

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container?

I can't remember what we did... probably put it in their bag, even though they could have each probably taken a whole box/bag and I still would have had enough, lol

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers?

obviously, why would I get any other kind?

  • What kind of candy do you buy? I buy whatever's on sale :)

How much do you get? I always over estimate. I usually end up with 2/3 of it leftover! LOL (not like I mind) ;)

How many kids do you typically get at your place? Not a whole lot. I think we got 30 kids the first year here, and last year I think we got about 50 ish? In the neighbourhood I grew up in, Halloween was insanity in the streets. Hundreds of kids!

Do you let the kids pick their own out or do you place it in their bag/container? I always place it in their bag

Do you buy the candy that you like so you can eat the yummy leftovers? Hellz yeah - bring on the Reese PB cups!
