Still Semi Sick!

Thank you ladies for the well wishes.. I have been sleeping crazy hours and resting as much as possible...  (fingers crossed) my fever broke today mid day; I am just trying to find solutions to all the nasal congrestion I have... my nose is raw and the congestion is causing me to be distracted because if i am not blowing it; it is full and running down the throat and then I cant get any relief because as fast as I blow it.. it is full faster!

I am debating trying to find a "saline" nasal spray as that is the only thing left in my handbook I can think of!

Hope you all are doing well... have a great weekend!

Re: Still Semi Sick!

  • sorry you're still sick Ash.

I was sick all week and finally today felt like myself again, I hope you are better soon too.

I had some Vicks VapoRub which made me feel better earlier this week... might be one other thing to try

  • Steam bath and eucalyptus.  They have this thing you put in the bathtub (like you are taking a bubble bath) and it has eucalyptus and mint that is supposed to open your nose.  I've used it a few times it works.  I think Shoppers has it.

The saline nasal spray is a good idea.  Not sure if you've experienced it yet, but the increased mucus, congestion and snot could be a lovely side effect of pregnancy.  It's been horrible for me and anytime my allergies act up it gets completely out of control.
  • Oh Ash I really do hope you feel better soon...it's so draining being sick.

And CBL is right about the increased mucus, congestion and snot could be a lovely side effect of pregnancy - DH was sanding the drywall theis week and there is dust everywhere..I've been sneezing like a mad woman!

I just finished my 1st box of Puffs...I never reacted this way before.

  • Well ladies with that tidbit... I have noticed having to blow my nose more often but if this continues I may be sick*sick my whole pregnancy; because as long as I have nasal congestion I have post nasal drip which causes chest congestion...
    LOVELY!
