tall DH

So DH is 6'4" and today we went to Kohl's to go clothes shopping for his new job (he needs more like cargo pants, khakis and some button down long sleeve shirts).  All of the pants stop at 34 in length and he needs 36 and the shirt sleeves are all too long.  Does anyone know any stores that sell taller clothes?  We know Eddie Bauer does and are headed there next weekend.  DH doesn't like to buy clothes online because he likes to "touch them" (his words not mine)....TIA! :)

Re: tall DH

  • My husband is the same way! 6'5" and we can never find anything at a normal store even EB so what he does is he goes to EB or Kohls and finds what he likes writes it down then goes home and orders the same thing off line -- we did find some shirts this weekend down at the Van Hussen outlets in Gettysburg -- it is a 17 1/2 36/37 arm so we thought that was a success...

  • Old Navy (and probably Gap and Banana) has some online. A lot of the dept stores carry taller button downs. Not sure about khakis. My BIL wears a 36x36 so I always used to get his jeans for my sister when I worked at Old Navy.
  • I feel your pain. DH is 6'7'' and clothes are always a struggle.  He has found very long pants at LL Bean lately, especially the jeans.  For shirts, the big and tall section at JC Penney is the main place that we can find things.

I'd look there as well. They have a "big and tall" section. :o

  • I believe Penney's actually has an entire catalog dedicated to Big and Tall.  It's probably the same stuff in the store, just bigger and taller.
  • My dad gets a lot of stuff from Cabela's - (he orders the same pair of pants in every color they have and multiples of each - I don't remember which one it is - but they come longer than a lot of the other ones they have that stop at 34/35(

My brother used to get a lot of stuff from Casual Male XL  (they are a bigger guy store - not just tall)

DH is the shortest of the 3 and I can find him stuff at Old Navy/Gap/BR - you can sometimes find the 36s at the outlets - but most of the time it is an order online - those you can try on the shorter ones in the store to figure out which style/fabric works best.
