Re: Morning! (Monday)

  • Well I guess I will start since no one else wants too. ;)

Friday- went to Disneyland with friends. It was packed. I made a mental note, don't ever go the weekend before Halloween. Sat- went up the Palms Spring Arial Tramway and on a hike. Sunday- slept in and read. Had sushi with an old co-worker. It was soo good!

Looking forward to a pumpkin carving party on Friday night, trick or treaters on Sat. And most of all the Time Change on Sunday! No more driving to work in the dark!

  • Robyn - so jealous that you went to Dland Ive been wanting to go for awhile.

Friday night we didnt do much but we did decide to walk down to the high school to watch their homecoming football game out of boredom :)

Sat we cleaned out the garage finally! Now I can fit my car in it again! I started work on some christmas/holiday card templates for a promo I'm going to run in November. H went out with his friends so I rented Wolverine which I was really looking forward to since I like the Xmen series but this was didnt grab me.

Sun we were suppose to do dinner with ILs but they cancelled so instead I finished up the holiday card stuff and started working on the blog entry for the promo. Ran a few errands and cleaned off our DVR :)

I'm hoping this work week goes by faster than last week did. I'm already not looking forward to going to LA for work on Wed!

  • I can't wait to see the blog post! I really need to do Christmas cards this year.

My goal is to have it up by the end of the week so keep an eye out ;)

It made me a little sad though working on Christmas cards before it was even Halloween! Not ready for the holiday season yet but I know it'll be here before I know it!

  • I'm looking forward to / dreading my 30th birthday party this Saturday :) I love parties, I am scared to turn 30, lol... don't ask me why- it is completely irrational :)
Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
  • Robyn~ Even after the time change I'll be driving to work in the dark. i forgot what it was like driving to work when the sun is up. :)

Noosh~ Are you making designs for just you, people that request one or are you making differnt designs that people can order from?

My weekend was good. Friday I went with Ang and Leslie to se RENT, which was awesome. And Ang talked us into trying a fully vegan restaurant, and it was pretty yummy. :)

Saturday we did a bunch of much needed maintenance on the cars. Still more to do, but at least the immediate stuff is done. So glad H is good with cars, saved some good money not having to take his car in. Saturday night we went to the goulish party and we both had a lot of fun. I totally emoed/gothed out and looked HOT! ;) I'll try and post some pics on FB tonight.

Yesterday I officially started packing. Yes, I took pics to document the occasion. After I filled the boxes we had, I then went through the cupboards and fridge and threw away a bunch of expired crap. I feel so guilty that I let that much stuff just go bad. :/

Tonight I'm trying to make a BBQ pulled pork for sandwiches for dinner. So my hands smell like the onions I cut to throw in the slow cooker this morning. I hope it comes out ok.

  • We had a nice long weekend with my sister.  Friday morning, my sister took Sarah shopping and bought her the cutest boots at Old Navy!  They're "ugg-ish", dark brown with pink inside - so cute! When they got home, we left for LA.  We first went to Mr Bones in WeHo, then to Sprinkles for some cupcakes (my sister saw Travis Barker there!) then to the Saddle Ranch for an early dinner.  Sarah had been fighting a cold all day and on the way home, her temp shot up to 103.2!  We took her to urgent care to make sure she didn't have an ear infection or something else.  Turns out, everything is "clear" and it's a virus so he said to keep giving motrin and tylenol (alternating every 3 hours) to keep the fever down.  She was fine by Saturday (still stuffed up and coughing but no fever)!  So that afternoon, Sarah and I drove out to Disney to meet up with my sister and C who had been at California Adventure all day.  We just walked around, got some dinner, went on Small World - which Sarah LOVED this time and then watched the Celebrate Parade.  We then went to Downtown Disney for some shopping.  C and Sarah left at about 8:30 (she was getting tired and cranky) and my sister and I stayed and watched the fireworks - they were great!  My sister left yesterday so we stopped off at Polly's in Norco for breakfast on the way to the airport.  I miss her already!
I have a busy week...Jr League tonight, doctor appointment Wednesday night, Jr League Thursday night and again Friday night...luckily my mom's coming in tomorrow or Wednesday to help out.  I feel like I'm coming down with whatever Sarah's got.  Yay me...
Hope everyone has a great day!
