Leggings as pants
Have you guys seen people wearing leggings as pants? I'm traumatized by this. When we were at the football game this past weekend we saw a girl in grey leggings with a junior cut t-shirt on. And she was not a skinny girl (as in she would be what I consider obese). Why do people think this looks good??? I'm just lost.
And after I saw that girl, I ended up seeing another girl wearing a snuggie at the game. It was a traumatizing day.
Owning a snuggie = ok.
Wearing a snuggie at home = ok.
Wearing a snuggie as an outfit at a football game = not ok.
Surprise! It's Identical TWINS! Girls born at 34w1d.

wait, the snuggie was her outfit, or used as a blanket? if it was just to keep her warm, i guess it's ok at the game but as a fashion statement, no.
Lilbit: If the shirt covers the butt, I'm ok with it. I don't love the look but we're talking a shirt that barely came to the top of the leggings.
Mel: It was her outfit. She was wearing it all over the place (she sat near us and was talking about how she just never goes outside anymore in "regular clothes" she just likes wearing her snuggie).

It's NMS, but then again, I'm more on the chunkier side with thighs and a toosh that definitely cannot pull off leggings. LOL (I tried on running tights a few weeks ago and couldn't cope with those, not even for just running!) I'm more of a trouser leg kind of girl.
On others, I don't mind and agree that it looks funky if it's a short shirt with leggings. Overall, like I said it's NMS.
The Snuggie... to keep warm, it makes sense. To wear for the fun of it, save it for the Snuggie Convention.
Leggings as pants under a long sweater or tunic are alright. It's NMS but I see lots of people sporting them nowadays.
And the snuggie...at a football game? Yeah I think that might be taking it a little too far.
I'm more than alittle on the chunky side but I love leggings because of the comfort factor. I'm sure people judge me when I wear them but they are a godsend on bloated days!
Jo: Long shirts, etc. I am fine with. It's the t-shirts that only come to your waist/hips that gets to me.
I'm with you Paula - all my weight is in my thighs and hips so leggings are not going to work for me.
