I've been thinking...

I've been bouncing around the idea of creating my own food blog.  Or a blog.. but mostly about food. LOL

Here's the thing I'm MOSTLY concerned about:  I make a lot of other people's recipes and doubt I change the standard 3 things frequently enough that I can say I adapted it.  So I'm concerned I'll break some kind of virtual infringement or just outright piss off a lot of other bloggers.

Aside from the fact I'll have MAYBE 2 readers, I'm also concerned about the time I'd have to devote to this, but right now I have an abundance of free time while MH is working insane hours.  (And when he's not, he's grown accustomed to me taking pictures of things I make and has stopped giving me such Confused looks for doing so. LOL  He even likes the idea because he said he tells people he interacts with at his accounts all about what I make...and then he can say "check out my wife's blog here..." LOL)

Re: I've been thinking...

  • I think you should do it! I would read it. Just dedicate as much time to it as you can and then let people know when you have updated.

I don't think you will be getting any copyright lawsuits :)

  • I've seen people link to other blogs (saying that's where they got the receipe from) and often times they do end up switching a few things.

This.  I would think that as long as you tell people where you got the recipe (and link to it if possible) you would be ok.  Bloggers generally like it when more people read their blogs so that link might up the amount of their readers.  But I will end this by saying I'm not really up on the copyright laws and could be wrong.

  • Do it.  I would totally follow it.
  • I would follow your blog! And I think you'd be fine as long as you give credit to those bloggers you might borrow recipes from.
