I read eddiboo's post but was wondering what others were doing?
i'm so sick of packing. I packed a whole container of photos and DH doesn't understand why. We have so much more stuff this time. It's crazy.
We're leaving early early tomorrow morning and heading to Northern Alabama. DH and I would love not to come back....and as bad as this sounds, if our house is totaled, we won't be rebuilding here. We're both sick of New Orleans. I hate going through this and I'd hate to move under the circumstances and lose everything we have but "It is what it is"...thanks scooter and peety!!

I am praying very hard that this dang storm doesn't mess too much stuff up.I am also sick of packing and hearing all this horrible stuff. We are getting out tomorrow morning before Contra Flow starts. I wanted to take a vacation but this is not what I had in mind.
I also do not want to have to rebuild. I am not sure what we would do and I hope we never have to find out. I am trying not to stress out because of being pregnant but I am not doing a very good job.
I wish all of Louisiana and New Orleans the best and I hope we all come back safely with everything the way we left it.
I will have my lap top with me and I will be on checking the board to see how everyone is doing.
We left Friday night, thankfully we missed all the traffic and made it to houston in 7 hours. I hope and pray that everything is still standing when we return. Best of luck to everyone.
