So I'm looking into having my shower stall in the master bath re-done on the house we just bought. Granite Transformations in West Berlin are coming out to look at my countertops and they also do bath fitting so I'm getting an estimate on that as well. They weren't available until November 7th so I'm just waiting.
The problem is, we noticed today the stall is leaking (probably due to the poor caulk job the previous owners did). So I called Bath Fitters and they can come out tonight. But Bath Fitters has horrific reviews on consumer affairs (except for one rave review from NJ.
Now, coincidentally, Bath Fitters is sending someone from their West Berlin facility, so I'm thinking Bath Fitters outsources their work to Granite Transformations and Granite Transformations is probably an "authorized Bath Fitter" dealer.
Does anyone have any experience with either company, good or bad?
Any suggestions/feedback is greatly appreciated. I don't want to get ripped off or make the problem worse by having someone do a crappy job then refusing to make it right.

can you keep me posted too? I went to the website and it looked like it was more of a cover for the counter tops, is that right?
Are you renovating?
Yea, there's no demo involved. It's still real granite, but it just goes over your existing countertops. We can't afford a total renovation right now, but the house we just purchased, the countertops are scratched, knicked and stained, and since there isn't much counter space, we thought this was the best avenue at the moment.

My parents put in that kind of countertop. Not sure if that was the company, or not, but I'm fairly certain it was. They had a good experience, and their counters are beautiful and unscratched, and it's been about 2-3 years.
However I was under the impression, that it wasn't real "granite" and that it was similar to the price of real granite anyway. My parents didn't want to worry about color inconsistency, sealing the stone, etc. But maybe I'm totally off...
Either way - good luck!
