What is Christmas like in the Big Apple?
We didn't make it to NY this fall unfortunately so we're now thinking about going around Xmas. That time looks wonderful in NY but if you don't have any family there and you're just going for a few days, what do you recommend doing to get into the Xmas spirit?
Re: What is Christmas like in the Big Apple?
NYC is awesome at Christmas! there's skating at Rockefeller Center (or just seeing the tree there), if you can get tickets to see the Rockette's it's supposed to be a great show, or just grab some hot cocoa and check out the window displays.
I'm sure the other girls will add more to this, but this what's on top of my head.
I agree!!! xmas in nyc is very romantic, cheerful and heartwarming. (if that makes sense) Rockefeller Center (but only go when there will be minimal crowds, otherwise it is crazy), a holiday show, all the stores decorated. Walk through Central Park, or down 5th Ave (which is usually festivally decorated around 59th street).
plus all the regular fun things to do. being in the city at the holidays just gives so much cheer and despite the cold and sometimes rainy/snowy weather, I love it.
