Not getting my H1N1 shot today.

Why you ask?

Hundreds of people lined up, in the thunder, lightening and rain for the shots!  Had I stayed, I would have surely come home sick just from being out in the cold, wet weather.  So...Plan B?  Stay away from everyone...wash my hands like I have OCD and boost my immunity with lots of vitamins, fluids, and rest.

Re: Not getting my H1N1 shot today.

  • Wow, I wouldn't stay in line in that kind of weather either.  Stay warm and healthy over there, Lori!

  • Tons of handwashing and carry purel in your purse. I swear I purel like crazy :) People probably think I'm OCD but I'm cool with that!

Stay healthy for you and the little peanut!

  • i figured there would be quite a line!! sorry the weather was crappy and you couldn't get it but you can get it at a later date when it isn't so crazy.... your CVS should have it in a few weeks or so... in the meantime i'm sure the precautions you are taking with your coworkers will be just fine!

i got mine today (thanks to a tip i got from a nestie on my local board) and thankfully did not have to wait in line...but the local news channel just did a story on it so i am sure there will be massive lines now.......

Yep.  That is why there was a massive line at our location too.  It was all over the news and radio!  ARG!  3,000 people showed up...tons of crying kids and babies and disgruntled folks who were not on the "qualified list" (kids, parents of babies under 6 mos, pregnant women and health care workers).  Boo!

For now I am dousing myself in Purell and Lysoling everything!
