BU: I graduated from Wilton Course 1
Haha... now I feel qualified for grocery store cake decorator. I'm having a lot of fun with these classes though so I signed up for Course 2 as well. Unfortunately I'm the only person who is signed up so far so its most likely going to be cancelled.

So pretty! And you could totally get a job in a bakery! And not only because this is what passes for professional cakes these days:
Thanks, Cakewrecks!
(that's Hello Kitty)

That looks great! I loved your comment about being grocery store qualified
After I read the Bakerella proposal, I looked at the girl who got engaged's blog, and she went to this cupcake decorating workshop where they learned how to make the cutest designs! As good as your technique ends up being after a Wilton class, I feel like their designs are kind of dated.
OMG that's supposed to be Hello Kitty? I think *I* could do a better job.
Hawki - ditto angelfire!

i've been wanting to take those Wilton courses for a while now, i was always wondering if they were any good. Now i think i have found my hobby for the winter, thanks hawk!
Lark, love the hello kitty, haha!
Yeah I'm taking them at Michaels but I believe they offer them at JoAnn's and HobbyLobby as well and maybe others but that's what we have here.

Hawki - Why couldn't you have taken these classes prior to the June weddings? Then you could have made all of our wedding cakes!
Great job!!
It looks great! way to go!
I keep thinking about taking these classes too. I love to bake now that I have my own kitchen, so I keep thinking about it as well.. and now that I know what comes out of it, it makes me even more excited to want to try it! Good luck with Course 2!
