Re: The Piggly-Wiggly Blog

  • Omg, what a compliment Embarrassed Thanks so much!

I've had so much fun blogging about my food experiences, and I'm touched others have enjoyed reading and trying the recipes.

I'm kind of a lurker on this board, so sorry that I was delayed in replying!

    Thanks! :)

ps- What 2 recipes are you trying?

  • How did you find out about this blog?  This is one of my very good friends, Sara, food blog. She is an amazing cook!

  • Naomi! We've been friend for this long and I had NO IDEA you're on The Nest! Thanks for the kind words :)

Did I tell you that I made some pear sauce for Anna last night? I cooked it on high for 4 hours and it still wasn't pureed enough, so I placed it on high again this morning. Hopefully it'll be nice and soft by the time we get home today.

MMMMMMMM..the pumpkin chocolate chunk muffins & sweet & sour chicken :)

I was in Japan for about 4 months a few years ago & fell in love with Coco's..curry house. I've been trying to find a recipe to replicate the breading on the chicken..I am pretty sure panko is what I needed! I can't wait to try that as well!

You are such an inspiration :)

OMG, the pumpkin chocolate muffins are SO so good. You will love it (at least I hope so!). I also switched up the recipe and made them with butterscotch chips and they were seriously addicting. I think I'm going to try them in my mini-muffin pan next time... that way I can pop them into my mouth. Oh yeah, once you go to panko breadcrumbs, you'll never go back. Don't you love the coarse texture? We go buy the breading at CAM in Evendale, but they sell them everywhere. Thanks for the kind words and let me know how they turn out.

Naomi- you are too cute! I will see how the pears turned out tonight (and this time, I remembered to peel the pears for Anna)- I'm off Friday, so I'll drop it off then?

  • I wanted to chime in too and let you know that I looove your blog!! I found it a few days ago and have been looking through the recipes! I recently moved to Cinci and am looking for a job so it's given a tons of time to try out different dishes.  I actually tried the chicken meatball subs a few days ago (we didn't have sub bread though -- so I just used spaghetti) and DH and I loved it!! :o)
