if you're bored, we need help finding a rug for our room
here is the living room set we have - the seat cushions aren't really green like it looks in the picture, the overall color is more brownish looking and the sea green looking color is more like a blueish-green color - you can see what it looks like (at least a glimpse) in the background of the photos in my blog post here

max length is 9' and max width needs to be 7.5' - something around 6x8 would probably be good
what are your thoughts on this one?

if you can find some other ones, I'd love to see other ideas too (hoping to stay under a $500 budget)....I'm having trouble deciding what would go w/the furniture set well w/o being too "busy" since the pillows are patterned.... FYI our walls are still white (ceilings too high/vaulted to repaint w/o it being a huge hassle) and our fireplace/mantle is really light colored too so we're trying to use the furniture/rug/coffee table and accessories to add color to the room... I was thinking of possibly adding accents in yellow to the room with accessories? any other thoughts? I am so not an interior designer and any advice would be appreciated
thanks!
Re: help us decorate our living room :)
Hi Jaime!
I don't have any suggestions, but I did want to say that I love that living rm set. It's gorgeous! Hope you find what you're looking for. Maybe try posting on the decorating and renovating board if you don't get a lot of feedback here.
Your living room set is beautiful!
Love interior design questions. Always wished that I had gotten into as my profession. Have you thought about shades of orange, like a rust, gold or terracotta tones for the rug? What type of pattern is in the pillows?

example 3 (this one might be too busy, but check out the colour combo of rust, blue and gold)
Kalani - thank you!
Kriss - I updated the post with more pics so you can see the patterns on the cushions and pillows better. not sure how I feel about the rust but i do love the pattern on that first rug you linked!
just not sure how much of a pattern there should be in the rug if the pillows have such a busy pattern?? I wish I could get a bunch of rugs and put them in and see what they look like before buying!

Hey Jaime! Your furniture is awesome. I think adding pattern on the floor is fine since the pattern on the pillows is smallish.
Here are some more ideas:
Stick with the colors you have in the room:
Independence Area Rug
Aries Area Rug
Arcadian Area Rug I
Tempo Area Rug
Cyclone Area Rug
Agra II Area Rug
Wedgewood Area Rug
Brilliance Area Rug
Silvas Area Rug
Tendrillar Area Rug
Or adding in additional colors to play off with accessories (lamp shades, curtains, additional pillows, candles, etc.):
Mobility Area Rug
Aries Area Rug
Cyclone Area Rug
Circular Area Rug
Or go custom and choose your own colors:
Areata Custom Shag Area Rug
Palou Custom Area Rug
To get an idea of how any rug might look with your furniture try photoshop or at least making a collage so you can see how it all comes together! Good luck!

After seeing the pattern up close, I like the first one I suggested too, because of it is minimal swirl. It picks up the roundness in the print of the cushions.
Love the "Tempo" and "Arcadian" style rugs (especially the middle one with the overall blue and gold tone) Lori suggested. Ohhh the design your own rug style is pretty cool too! I may have to try that out.
I was just thinking too, if you are unable to get samples to bring home, could you just bring the pillow/or just the cover(s) with you when you are checking the rugs out?
