how is everyone's halloween going?
I have half a bag left of candy, I'm sure the teenagers that are coming around will take care of that!

No T-or-Ts for us - it seems weird here in the city (we saw people driving kids around
). Sad, since DH insisted on buying two bags of candy last time we were at Target... guess I better get to work on finding some recipes to use it up!
However, I did manage to entertain myself by dressing the dogs up in their 2009 Halloween costumes:

... every single day of forever.
We got home from the airport halfway through trick or treat so we didn't give all of our candy out. We were dragging suitcases in the door and since we had the light on we had kids right away. We usually have somewhere between 100-150 kids.
I don't get the people who take their kids out without dressing them up. I feel really bad for the kids.
We have 2 nights where we are (to curb mischief night) but we are pretty light both nights.
Last night a kid wouldn't come up the stairs because he was too scared. It was pretty funny and it means we were doing a good job.
We have a lot of candy left but the kids who did come seemed to really appreciate the decorations and a lot of the parents said how much they like the house. It only reinforces me to go BIGGER next year.
Note to self: plastic severed hands and feet in wicker basket with bloody gauze and rat was a hit.
TIme to go turn everything off. The motion sensor ghost is going crazy and probably annoying the neighbors by now. All we'ver heard is "OOooooooooOOOOHHHH OOOOOOOOOOHHHHH Muwah-ha-ha-ha-ha" for the past half hour.
They look so cute!
