Hey!

I saw your ticker for match day, are you guys hoping to stay in the area? Blair and I are still long distance and so far we have been doing well, seeing each other every weekend, etc. Thanks to you we have been frequenting the king and i like its our job. We are hoping in January, he will have a better idea of when his finish line will be and start looking into jobs, we may be headed to Boston, NC, or he may be headed back to my area.  Good luck to your DH as he finishes up!

  • Hey Krissy!

I'm glad you like King and I so much!! We've stopped trying other places at this point and that's the only place we go for Thai :) .

How is your school year going so far? I'm sorry you weren't able to find a job out here, but it sounds like you and Blair are doing the best you can. Hopefully by the time he finishes his program, the economy will be better than it is now and you'll be able to find a job near where he ends up. That's exciting that you might be moving to a new area! Boston is an amazing place to live, and I've heard there are some beautiful places in NC.

Thanks for your kind words - I can't wait until Match Day!! The suspense is absolutely killing me, and I think about it throughout the day pretty much every day. Tobias applied to 3 programs in CT and 7 in NYC. I'd rather end up in NY because my whole family and all of my friends are there, and a lot of Tobias' family is there too. I just want to get my NY certification started if we're going to be in NY, but it costs so much to take the tests and start the process that it just pays to wait until March until we know for sure that we'll be there. As you know, the process is such a biiitch and I want to get it started ASAP since it can take months. I'd also have to find a teaching job, which won't be easy either, given the market. The good thing about Tobias' field is that at least he will definitely have a job in June, wherever we are, and we'll just have to live off $ I'm saving this year and his income until I can find something (even if it's just subbing).
