Clicky Poll: Do you get trick-or-treaters in your neighborhood?

For the last 8 years, we haven't had ToT'ers. In Sunnyside, all the kids go to the local stores and restaurants for their treats instead. I wasn't sure how it was going to be in FoHi since we had moved here the week after Halloween last year. We had bought a bag of candy just in case. Guess it's the same way here. Zero ToT'ers.

We own a townhouse in a development that has tons of kids, so we have a steady flow all day. They wiped us out of candy. I also spend some time with my sis and her kids (and if I can make it to see DH's niece), so we're not home all day, but we do get a ton of kiddies.

We're in an apartment in Chelsea, and one year the Super's kids came up, but other than that we've never had any.

This is our first Halloween at the house and we were?completely?unprepared. We put out a bowl of treats while we were getting ready for the wedding and it was wiped out in 3 minutes. ?We had a steady stream before that. ?Sorry kiddos!?

In our old apartment, our landlord used to shut all the outside lights to make it look like no one was home. Big party pooper he was. But our house now is in a very children-dense neighborhood, and right in the middle of three elementary schools, so we get a ton. Last year I had to go out to the store mid-way and get more candy cuz we were wiped out. This year, I over-estimated a bit, because we still have 3 bags left. But I bought 10, so we did pretty good!

We weren't really sure what to expect since it was our first Halloween in the house and we'd be in the process of moving at the time, but we did get a lot of kids. There's a school nearby and and I guess there's a lot of kids in the neighborhood. I also think that quite a few families from not-so-great neighborhoods come over to our area to trick or treat. Whatever, it's all fine with me.

Anyway, we had a lot of kids and I loved it. We had just enough candy for them.
