Humor me! Let me see everyone's costumes! We went out for a few drinks but didn't really dress up. Last minute decision! Boo!!
What did everyone do?

Re: How was Halloween??
Hi Sarah!
A new thread... yayyyy! This board has been SO slow these days... we all need to rev it back up!
Didn't do much on Halloween, we had 22 kids or so come by our house, one big group of 15! Other than that we made popcorn and watched some movies, a pretty lazy evening at our house
I love Hawaii!

Halloween was fun! DH & I went to the Wizards home opener and wore our costumes :-). I went as a nurse and DH was my swine flu patient (he had a hospital gown and a pig snout :-P). I got us great seats for the game (my bday present for DH)..2nd row from the basket. DH loved it. Our friends texted us that they saw us on tv. Apparently, the camera was focused on DH & myself at one point during the game :-).

After the game, we went to a costume party thrown by our friend. They rented out a room at Clyde's which is next door to the arena. It was a blast seeing everyone's costumes!
The next day, DH's family came over to our house celebrate his birthday. I had to cook, clean, etc. I was so tired and was in bed at 9 pm!! I still feel tired today :-(. It was a great weekend overall!
A couple of our favorite costumes that night:

My friend's friend as Polamalu lol
Lady Gaga!!

We went to a friend's costume party and it was SO fun! I was Alice in Wonderland and MH was a 7-11 employee (don't ask...). The host took a pic of me, I'll see if I can get it from him!
There were so many great costumes, but all I had was my iphone and it was way too dark in the house for pics. At one point I was outside with a few of our guy friends (70's cops a la Sabotage)... I snapped a quick one of them and that was all I got the whole night. Dang it!
Wow, Ericka, sounds like you had quite the Halloween!!
DH and I didn't do much - we went into the city (NY) for the day and went to a museum and walked around and had a nice lunch, which was a great break from the ILs. Then we just sat around all evening and watched Mad Men and ate some candy.
Here's Bea in her costume - Count Barkula!!
Hallowe'en was good! I had no problems getting across the border (hurray!) and we went to a party thrown by DH's co-worker. He went as a bearded, fair-haired vulcan, and I as a 1950's gal. I might be tagged in some pics on FB. I learned that night that I can't handle tequila anymore... Never again!
The hosts made an amazing spread of food and of course we all ate waaaaaay too much. There were 4 different kinds of desserts too, and they sent us home with a whole pound cake. Yikes!
Love seeing all the costumes on here!
OMG! Ericka, your costume was AWESOME!
Photos on Facebook and in my blog, link below, of Alexa's costumes! I wore black and was her "carrier." She had TWO costumes... Yes, my little diva daughter rolls like that.
With her dad, they were Duck, Duck, Goose... Then, for a party later, she was a Ladybug. :-)

I love seeing everyone's costumes. Part of me wishes MH and I did something, but we didn't really. During the day we met up with my brother and his kids to trick or treat in the neighborhood. We dressed up Leeloo as bat dog (she got lots of compliments):
And we saw some really cool costumes. One entire family (mom, dad and 2 middle school aged kids) dressed up as Sea Monkeys. It was awesome - but I didn't get a good pic. And we also saw these storm troopers:
That night, we actually went out to dinner with my folks for our upcoming anniversary. So I just put out a bowl of candy with a sign that said "Help yourself, please save some for the other goblins. Happy Halloween!". Much to my surprise, there was still candy left when we got home (although all the reese peanut butter cups were gone - ha ha!).
Marino came down with pneumonia on Thursday afternoon so we were in the hospital Thursday - Saturday. We just handed out candy on Saturday and let Marino see the trick or treaters...luckily he doesn't know what he was missing yet! It sucked, but it was a blessing to be able to bring him home...Thursday was a really scary night for us.
I love all the Halloween pictures!!
We just stayed home and handed out candy!
Then we watched the World Series. We didn't dress up, but DH wore his "Halloween" hockey jersey from a minor league team (can't find a picture right now), and that's always fun
We had a great Halloween. We had a bit of family & some friends come over for dinner and then took the kids trick or treating. Cassie was tiny last year so this was technically her first time trick or treating. We only went to a few houses & since she's never really had candy, she was super excited with her first dum dum lollipop. We all decided to dress up next year as well!
I love seeing everyone's costumes!
We hosted a Rocky Horror Picture Show-themed dinner for our family at my parent's house. It was super fun! Thankfully no one showed up in full-on lingerie, but I did throw on a black pettiskirt and my light-up corset for the occasion. My favorite part was when the whole family danced the Time Warp!
Oh yay! I am loving all your costumes, the kids dressed up, and even the pooches getting festive. My little man, Jack, even got an outfit for Halloween. I need to get that up on Facebook and here!
This year was a tad melancholy for us as we were so wishing to be in Hawaii again. Last year on Halloween, we had just arrived to Oahu for our wedding. What an experience that was walking up and down Kalakaua Ave (spelling?). I would do anything to do that again! So much fun seeing all the different clever costumes.
