I am going to go look at house tonight (rental) after work. We were planning to save $$ for down payment and buy end of year, but I was cut down to PT hours.
I have been looking for rental in Berkeley or Albany,CA and I finally found a gorgeous house that does not cost 3k a month for rent. Please send Nestie vibes, I would love to move into a house closer to my daughters school a.s.a.p. I am hoping we can work out a decent security deposit.
Sucks having my salary cut down!

I can totally understand your feelings on the pay cut - I took a HUGE cut (over $20K annually) last year. I figured if I could make it through a year like that I could make it through anything....and I did! Best of luck on finding a new place to call home!
Move to Texas! You can buy a McMansion for $3,000/month!
