How was your weekend?

Fri night: DH and i went to his friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. It was really nice! Until the bridesmaids got a little obnoxious and challenged the groomsmen to a 'toast off'. Confused Which didn't happen and the other GMs were getting pissed at DH cuz he didn't want to get up and speak under those conditions!!

Sat; cleaned the apartment. Then DH went to pick up our friend at Penn Station and brought him back to our apartment and we had a pizza lunch and caught up. Then laid down for a quick nap. Then got ready for the masquerade wedding and left! (DH had to be there earlier for pics) It was a really nice wedding! Black, red and gold colors, masks everywhere... but the room was small and pretty crowded. DH was MCing and i got asked to 'dj' the *day before*! So we actually 'worked' quite a bit and i was exhausted by the end!! But everyone looked amazing and we had a good time.

Sun; met up with other friends in town for the wedding for brunch; there were 10 of us! It was really nice! Then our friend left for the airport, we took a quick nap, then returned DHs tux to the Men's Wearhouse at Atlantic Mall, got Cold Stone and came home. Then we just vegged and caught up on some tv shows we'd missed.

Re: How was your weekend?

  • Fri night: Dinner with the inlaws and DH's best friend and his gf. Saturday: Helped DH pick out some suits at Jos. A. Bank store in the city, they were having some really good sale and he's lost a bit of weight so he needed some new suits. Then we went to a Halloween party that night in Brooklyn which was fun! Sunday: Met up with some of my girl friends on the UWS - one of my friend's mom's ran the marathon so we helped her celebrate.

  • we had a really good weekend and i am very sad to be back to reality!?

friday night: made my favorite orzo recipe, drank wine, and caught up on dvr

saturday: DH & i spent the day in sleepy hollow - had a yummy pub lunch, wandered around the sleepy hollow cemetery, dinner at the red hat in irvington (which was fantastic!), and then went to the great jack o'lantern blaze at van cortlandt manner. a little rainy but we had the best time anyway.

sunday: returned zipcar, did grocery shopping, and watched a lot of sports while making a big batch of sauce (and now i have two batches in the freezer) ?

  • For once, I had such a great, busy and full weekend with DH around the house (off from work).Big Smile

Friday: I was off from work and some of you remember, went to Good Morning America studios to be in the audience with a college friend who scored tickets. (If you missed seeing me, it's because the camera caught me a clear total of twice the whole two-hour taping)! But, considering I had to dress up for Halloween, and opted to wear a huge curly, black afro, I was glad to not be captured constantly!

I spent the rest of Friday playing tour guide and having breakfast and dinner with my friend and her DH, whom we all went to college together, so that was great.

Saturday: With a rarity of DH being off on Saturday night, we took advantage by just relaxing around the house, ordering dinner in, and watching movies. We totally ignored Halloween and it was nice!

Sunday: Went to church and took my teenage SIL job hunting to local retail stores because MIL is on her to get a job. I cooked and we had a great family meal. Plus, DH made me extra happy by finally tackling a few tasks around the house.

It was a memorable weekend I hated to see end! Yes

  • I had a really great - really busy weekend!

Friday: cooking at home (tomato soup!!) and relaxing

Saturday: Market in the morning (after dog park with the pup) where I met up with a friend who was in town. We came back and I made brunch at home - and I'm not bragging, but seriously I made some of the best french toast ever!! haha. After my friend left, I started cooking and prepping for halloween. finished costume, baked a vanilla cake (with super cool chocolate spider web topping) and prepped for fondue post-parade. We met up with some friends and their pups and we all walked in the Park Slope Halloween parade. It was so much fun! but we were all glad to get back to the apartment and have some fondue and cake!!

Sunday: lazy lazy Sunday!!! always the best. I went down to cheer the marathon runners for a bit in the morning. Then it was crafty time. I needed to make the baby name banner for my sister's baby shower. Then made some iron-ons for the decorate the onesie shower activity. we spent the whole day snacking and finishing the cake, so by dinner time we weren't really eating! haha.

  • We had a pretty busy weekend too.

Friday night, we went out for my friend's birthday which was a blast! Saturday, we did Sasha's swimming classes in the morning, then ended up going to DH's cousin's and uncle's joint birthday party (we shamelessly put Sasha in her costume, and DH's other cousin was there with her three kids in costumes too). When we got home, we watched some of the game. Sunday, we went to my parents' house for lunch and went by the Honda dealership (where we leased our last car) to check out a great deal; what do you know we got the last car they had with that deal (DH is actually off picking it up right now). All in all, a good weekend!

  • wasn't bad... packed Friday night, moved Saturday, and went to the Jets game on Sunday.
