XP: Ornament Exchange Information
EVERYONE is invited to join!!! Here is the link to sign up for the ornament exchange. Names will be drawn by Elfster on November 20th, and all ornaments should be mailed no later than December 15th. You can sign up by using the link or emailing me at hav2run@hotmail.com

Since I'm a newbie, can someone fill me in on what the exchange involves? Do we make this ornaments? How many do we make if so? Thanks so much! Looking forward to it
I have a question re:elfster. I've never used it before ... so do I have to put in my address now? And if I do, is it visible to everyone? Or, once our names are drawn will we be asked to put our addresses in, just for the person that picked our name.
Ok, I feel like I've never used the internet before. But I didn't want to put my address in there if everyone can just see it!
I think $10-15 is good then people can have some wiggle room. I'm pretty sure only the person who gets your name can see your info. Elfster picks the names and makes the matches. You can see the info for the person you're buying for but you don't know who has you. You can send messages through Elfster to get more info about the person (likes, hobbies, etc) then you pick out an ornament specific to that person (you can buy or make one). For example last year I had bumpie Riabiaron. She's a photographer so I looked all over for a camera-themed ornament (but I couldn't find one!!) I ended up getting her a baby's first Christmas ornanment b/c she had a new baby. Awinning (I think?? or Stillwaiting) sent me a dog ornament with our pups' names on it.
How do you decorate for the holidays? That's what I based my info on. I asked for anything red or snow themed.

You can either make or buy your ornaments. We just put a limit on spending as a guide to keep it fair for everyone. More information will be coming in the near future via Elfster that will help you ask questions to the person you drew and how to do the exchange. Name draws will go out by email on Nov 20. Only you know whose name you drew, and you will be able to ask anonymous questions to that person without them knowing who you are. It keeps it a secret and fun!
Yes, you put in your email and it will add you as participating. You can fill in your profile and address info whenever you want to. The only person who will be able to see your address is the person that is sending you an ornament. Name draws will occur on Nov 20th, and it is done by Elfster. You will get an email from Elfster telling who you drew, and it will tell you how to ask questions to your person anonymously, so you can decide what to send. I will not be able to see who picked who until after the Dec 15th exchange deadline. Even then, I will not be looking unless someone has an issue.
