Pg ladies

WTF my back is killing me. I'll lay down for a bit and have a tough time getting up because I feel so stiff. Been like this since Thursday. Sitting at my desk too.

Shoe, Ali-- any similar pain? Hmmm.

Re: Pg ladies

  • I have had terrible lower back pain since day one. I have been using a heating pad on the low setting for a long time now. I ended up having to get a lumbar support thing to put onto my chair at my desk, and it has helped a lot. I also wear tennis shoes everywhere, all of the time. When I wear anything else, there is just not enough support and it makes the lower back pain flair up big time.

  • Oh yes.  My back pain kicks my ass every single day.  I don't find that Tylenol helps me that much but it might work better for you.  I use my heating pad on low a lot too.  I even sleep with it even though my doc says not to (it has an auto off function after 2 hours).  But when the pain gets really bad (warning: TMI mental image ahead) I'll turn the shower on really hot and then get on all 4's in the tub and just let the hot water hit my back.  That helps sometimes.

I find that if I don't move every 30 minutes or so at work, I am uber stiff.  Even if I just walk to the bathroom, I try not to sit still for longer than that.

I have no idea what causes it but I hope you feel better soon!

I do this too, it really does help. DH will look at me like I am nuts, and I don't even care, haha.

  • Yeh it's my whole back. I haven't really had any pain til now. And it's more constant, stiff than like cramps. I've been riding with my heated seats on. And my dr said it was ok for hotter than lukewarm baths-which I miss! Tylenol sucks arse.

Definitely try the shower thing.  It should help with the stiffness.  And I never quit my hot baths.  I had to give up drinking; isn't that enough?!?!
