Exciting News!
We got our BFP! 
We found out this weekend that we are expecting our first Little Z! I'm so excited! But we aren't telling ANYONE yet, so I thought I could at least share my excitement with all of you! My edd is July 1, 2009. So I'm only about 5 weeks along. DH wants me to wait until 12 wks to tell everybody. Crazy boy. I told him I'd comprimise for 8 weeks. So we plan on telling everyone at Thanksgiving!
Truthfully, I'm totally freaked out! I keep thinking of all the things that could go wrong. ( I'm an ultrasound tech). But I just keep reminding myself that as long as I take good care of myself, the rest is out of my hands. So, now I'm waiting for 8 am to come around so I can call my Dr! Lol! Yay!

Congratulations!!!! I totally understand where your DH is coming from since we didn't really shout it to the world until after our 10 week ultrasound. Your risk of something bad happening goes down to about 2% after you hear the heartbeat after 10 weeks. I agree with you on telling your family at Thanksgiving, though! You can't hold that secret from parents on a holiday!

So far I am feeling ok. I have had slight cramping for the past week, but from everything I've read, its normal in some women due to the uterus expanding. I've also had some nausea, but just since yesterday. I don't know if the nausea all in my head. Lol. I hope I don't get morning sickness too bad. I called my OB/GYN this morning and got an appt for Dec 10th. It seems crazy to me to have to wait that long! Lol! But I'm impatient by nature, so this is going to be a long 9 months!

My cramping has finally stopped, I hope. So far today I have had nothing significant in the way of pain. And I haven't spotted since this morning. So I am REALLY hoping that that part is over with and I can move on to actually being excited, not nervous! I've just been so scared that something is wrong! But I am really looking forward to moving on and experiencing this whole process! And I'm nauseated today - I never thought I'd be so happy to feel like crap! Lol!
And congrats to the other May 09ers that are expecting!
