Just checking in on you.....hoping you're feeling good and all is well! Haven't heard any pregnancy updates so wanted to see how you were!

Hi there!!! Thanks so much for checking in!!! Everything is great. My mother has been in town for the last two weeks AND I've been trying no to Nest at work too much. That's why you haven't heard from me in awhile.
I'll give you a brief update....pregnancy going well. We had our first trimester screening where they give you some stats of your baby's chances of having downs or trisomy 18. Its based on blood work, a fluid measurement on the back of the baby's neck and the mother's age. Because I'm 40 our chances of downs started at 1 in 40 and after the screening went down to 1 in 440. Which is really good.
I've told my new boss at work that I'm pregnant and he was VERY supportive and excited for me so that's all good news. Life is GOOD.
Enough about me....what about you Amy you must be getting soooo excited for your trip to Italy. How's the hair styling business going? Are you loving it?
And you Anna??? Did you get that position in NYC? Do you like and when are you planning to move to Manhattan?
Heather, that is SO good to hear. How many weeks are you at now? Have you found out the sex yet?? (And good for you for not Nesting at work too much! I've made a deal with God that if I EVER get a job again I will promise only to Nest on my lunch hour and be very, very good.)
So, yes, no, no job, no apartment, still living with ILs, still depressed, and frustrated ugh ugh ugh. I've been really up and down. There have been some major major lows but I have a good support team and am hanging in there. Invitation business really picked up about 2-3 weeks ago so that has done a pretty good job of keeping me occupied. I am just really freaked out about this continuing through the holidays. I don't think I can survive a full holiday season living with my in-laws, having no money and no company christmas parties to go to.
On the up side, Tim got a seminar at the Gallatin School at NYU for the spring semester so that is a)some extra $$ and b)something good for his resume. But that won't start until late Jan, of course. We are going up to Boston on Sunday for the week to housesit for my Aunt and Uncle which I am really looking forward to. Living in a nice big house and visiting with friends up there--should be great!

I'm so glad the screening went well! I know your fear - Todd and I *MAY* TTC in the next year and by then I'll be 37. It gets scarier as we get older! But I'm SO happy it's all good! I'm thrilled that your boss is being supportive too. It certainly sounds like life is perfect!
I am excited about Italy, but it doesn't seem real yet. Still too far off. Ask me in January though and I'll be bouncing off the walls! I AM loving doing hair. Crazy - I never thought I would love it. I'm doing really well on getting new clients too, which is thrilling me.
Other than work and starting to become a 'gym rat' (as Todd called me the other day), life is plugging along. Although I did just sign up for my 2nd Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and will start training 2 weeks from today. YIKES! Overall, I certainly can't complain!
I'm so glad you and baby are well - keep us posted on the pregnancy progress!
