vent: waiting on our photographer...
Hello ladies, long time no post. I've been mostly just lurking.
Anyway, I wanted to see how many of you have gotten your professional pics back, and how many of you are still waiting?
Here's my vent: we had no real problems with our photographer at the wedding. Our proofs came back about a month after the wedding, and turned out great. We placed our order (combined ours, family and friends into one big order) on August 4th, and were told that it would take 4-6 weeks to get the prints back. We are STILL waiting to receive our prints. It has been 2 months of me calling them weekly, asking if prints were ready. The first few times I was told, that they weren't in yet, they'd call me when they were ready. Finally my mom called and talked to someone different, was told they had part of the order ready. So she went to pick them up, and they had several orders wrong, parts missing, etc. They said that the albums we'd ordered were on back order. (they will have our name and date on the cover).
The photographer is well known, and has been in business for 20+ years in our area. He did my and my brothers and DH's senior pics. He's a family friend, father of one of my bridesmaids, so I really dont' want to get mean, but this is getting rediculous. I'm just not sure what else I'm supposed to do from here. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've had mine for awhile, but that's cuz there wasn't much to choose from..that's another story altogether!
Could you talk to the photographer? He's your friend's dad...maybe you could just hint to him that you're starting to worry about it. If there's as close of a connection as you think so, he should be willing to hear you out/check into it for you. I'm sure he may hear ranting a lot, so being calm is probably key to getting your prints/albums and maintaining the relationship.
