After Halloween Costume Party

My sister is throwing an after Halloween costume party (I guess she just can't get enough of dressing up) and I am stumped for costumes. I didn't want to have to spend a lot, or any, money on them since its just for one night. So far what I've thought of for me is a 1950s housewife. I have a black polka-dot dress that is kind full and I was thinking of doing that with a cardigan, heels and a vintage apron that I have and just curling my hair. For DH I was thinking maybe the slap-chop guy or a member of the "nerd heard" from the tv show Chuck.  I am just not sure if I like those ideas, I feel like they aren't too creative. Anyone have any suggestions for other ideas? TIA

  • If you did the 1950's housewife could your husband we a 1950's husband?  You know dressed for work, slicked back hair, briefcase....I keep thinking of the Leave it to Beaver show  haha

  • The HW is cute with those cat eyeglasses (fake of course).   How about dressing hubby as the Milkman  Wink
