Ugh, my face is going to fall off!
I'm so itchy and now my face is blotchy either from me rubbing it or just from being irritated in general. I can't tell if it's just dry skin or if I'm having an allergic reaction to something. Either way, I apparently don't have any benadryl like I thought I did so I don't get to take some and pass out like I was planning to, ugh!
Is anyone else already having winter skin issues??
Re: Ugh, my face is going to fall off!
Yup, my dry hands have started up. Sadly, this is kind of normal for when winter skin issues start. For me, anyway haha.
My lips start to get chapped, but my friend who's studying at the Aveda Institute right now told me that for chapped lips that are flaky they tell their clients to rub chapstick on an unused mascara wand, and rub it on their lips. It helps with the flakiness and moisturizes.
I know that isn't helpful for your itchy skin though!

I'm feeling better today, my face is still really dry and it doesn't seem like moisturizer is helping but at least it's not all red and itchy.. unfortunately since we're in a small area, we don't have a 24 hour pharmacy nearby.
And that's a really good chapped lip tip, buckeye, I'll have to try that the next time my lips get dry!
Yep. my hands have started up. I use Vaseline on them at night, and then Vaseline Intensive Care during the day- and when my hands are dry, my skin gets super sensitive, so I've had to stop using my nicely scented hand lotions
The Vaseline is the only thing that helps, and I should even use it several times a day- but then my hands get too greasy to use- I should probably just get lotion gloves, but I can't find any 100% cotton ones, only cotton/poly.
I use Purpose face lotion in the winter, which moisterizes more than my Clean & Clear (with salicylic acid), but my face still gets dry, so I use Smith's Rosebud Salve on the dry spots, which doesn't make me break out.
Speaking of itchy, my scalp was a bit itchy yesterday, so I used DH's Head and Shoulders shampoo, and my hair was a nasty mess all day!! I can't believe how drying that shampoo was, even with my normal conditioner after.?
ooh, I'll have to try that rosebud salve! I also use purpose products but the moisturizer just isn't cutting it lately..
Have you looked at bath and body works for the gloves? I usually see a good selection there, although I don't know what they're made of..
