Re: What's new with everyone?
I know! I feel bad but, I have so little free computer time right now. Work is super busy plus, trying to get every loose end tied up before I'm out on maternity leave for 6 months. Both of our home computers died at about the same time so, I won't be on at home again until we pick up a new CPU (just haven't made time for it).
Anyway, work days are nuts, home is busy trying to finish the nursery and all kinds of baby related things.

Well I worked every single day last week, and I've been keeping it up this week too. I won't be off until Thursday. Plus everyone is getting sick and I caught it so I have pretty much been spending any and all free time laying on the couch or in bed.?
We had a really nice Halloween tho, we ended up meeting up with a friend of Kevin's from HS and his wife. They just moved back to the area from DC and we are so excited to have married friends. So now that they are settled in, they called and we met out for dinner and drinks and then they invited us back to see their new house (we are so jealous, btw, but in a good way haha).
Saturday I am leaving for VA until the 12th, I am going to a grand opening of the store I work for. Then I come back and turn around and leave Friday to visit my friend in Erie PA for her birthday weekend. ?
Jen, that really stinks about both computers dying. I would go crazy at home! There is NOTHING to do where we live. nothing. Are things getting any better with the heat in your office? I sure hope so! WOW! 6mths maternity leave! That is nice! I hope that when we have kids I can take a nice long maternity leave- ultimately i would like to work from home, but i dont know how soon i'll be able to do that after I finish my schooling.
Meg, so since you have been working everyday does that mean you are getting lots of hours, or are you just working a few hours every day? I hope you are getting lots of hours!
Hmm, for us nothing to new. I talked to a mortgage broker today, we are going to try and buy our first home. We are going to try to get an USDA loan- which will finance 100%, no down payment.. The FHA now requires 3.5% down.... So now im patiently waiting for the guy to call me some time this week to let me know if we even qualify. I hate waiting, and im horrible at it! I have no patience what-so-ever. Im crossing my fingers, but he said some stuff that kind of got me worried that we won't get approved right now.. Err.
Jen- I feel ya about the computer issue....my laptop died and we have a desktop but we dont have internet right now at home...while DH is loving having me around and not on the computer its strange not having it.
Thats exciting about buying a house!! It is a long process and I hated every min of it, but the end result is very nice!
Around my house, not a lot is going on.....besides DH job hunting and my belly growing everyday! I havent been able to sleep the past few nights, so that really stinks. I think the morning sickness might be gone***im crossing my fingers**** Other than that everything is about normal!
Jena - good luck with the mortgage approval and house hunt! My office is still hot, but at least it's cooler outside so that I'm able to blow in some colder air.
Meag - feel better! So happy to hear that you have some more friends in town, always a good thing.

I'm not working 10 hour days this week but it feels like it! LOL
My free time is being taken up writing as much as I can. I've got 5600 words so far which puts me about 500 words ahead of schedule. The beginning of the book is easier to write because there is so much in my head to get out so I'm hoping to really stay ahead of the curve for a while as I know that when it gets closer to the end of the month I will have writers block like crazy!
Other than that, life is same old same old.
YAY! for not working 10hr days. That has to suck, i can barely make it through 8 hr days, i can't imagine 10. ew.
That is really cool you are doing the book writing thing. I'm sorry I forget what it's called, but I did read about it in the post you put up last week or this weekend sometime. I used to LOVE to write when I was a kid, i'm a pretty good writer sometimes. But I don't enjoy it anymore. I used to write little stories all the time when i was younger, and i'd make my mom read them. Lol! I don't think I have that creativity anymore... I might if I tried, but I don't have the time =( ... I do enjoy writing papers though, is that weird? I mean if the topic is something interesting then I don' tmind writing. When I was in HS i helped one of my sisters with several of her college papers- fun.

Well I'm still at the beginning and in my experience the story in my head and the story that it ends up being on paper aren't always super close, but I have a pretty good idea of what I want it to be.
so far its about a goody-goody girl who meets a bad boy type, but he is really a decent person. He introduces her to poker. And she starts to like it and get good at it. I want the book to span a few years of time, because I want her to be the first woman to win the world series of poker and to get famous because of it and for the fame to change her life. Right now, she is in college...
all I have to do is get her from point A to point B to point C... thats the hard part! LOL

Life has been ok for me lately. I had another drs apt last week and got the all clear from my dr. She was glad the contractions had stopped and that I was back at work. I have my big u/s on the 24th so hopefully we will find out if we are having a girl or a boy and find out if my cervix has gotten any shorter, which I really hope not.
My MIL blew up the other day because we told her that we were going to my aunt and uncle's for Thanksgiving this year. She had the gall to ask me if my family could move our Thanksgiving to another day (I don't think so). So I'm waiting for her to say something to me about it and even though I swore I was going to go off on her I promised I wouldn't. But I will let her know that I want to spend my aunt and uncle's first Thanksgiving in FL with them especially after almost losing my uncle this year, and let her know that this is the last Thanksgiving with my sister in a long time since she starts her residency over the summer and no one knows where she will be for the next ten years. I think she's just jellous because of how close my family is. I know that drives her nuts.
Wow - can't believe I missed out on all the action on our board yesterday! It's nice to hear a bit about what's going on with everyone. I did read all your posts, so let's just say I hope things go well for everyone with what you're working on!!
I have a busy work day ahead of me, so I should probably get off the nest and get to work!

Well that is rude of your MIL. My MIL is wacky but she isn't usually rude like that. thankfully. I dont know what our thxgiving plans are this year. I guess I should talk to H about that. We usually drive all over the place and eat 2-3 thxgiving dinners, joy.
I was wondering whatever happened w/ your sister and your dad...you saw an email that your sister was talking with your dad and she didnt tell you.. what did you decide to do? J/w...if you dont want to talk about it I understand.
Well i'm glad you you made a decision about what to do. You sound content with your decision, andi 'm sure it was hard, but you are right, nothing he can say will change the past or what he did so it's better left in the past. It can be hard to put stuff behind us, i'm happy to hear that you have moved on!
