Well we had the top of the cake last night. It was actually good, not dry and gross like we thought it would be. MIL said when she got married they ate a slice every year until it was gone. Think I'm glad we are only doing 1 year. Hope the rest of you that saved yours have a good luck as we did.

Our wedding cake was made by the wife of one of my husband's co-workers. So we had her make us a new wedding cake top. It looked just like the real one, and tasted as good, too!
We were slackers and didn't eat our until about 3 weeks into the month (anniversary is the 1st)!! I was surprised too... Ours was pretty moist for sitting in the freezer for a year!
