Upstate Nestie with a ?

Hi gals!

I need some advice from the downstate ladies.  I might have to travel to Harriman, NY from Saratoga Springs, NY in a few weeks.  Google maps says it should take me just over 2 hours to drive there, but is that not including traffic?

Do you know how the traffic patterns would be say...on a friday morning around 7 am and then on a Sunday night around 6pm to go back home?

Also - do you know of any hotels in the area?  I googled, but I thought I would ask the experts.

TIA!

  • Just from looking at the map, you shouldn't really hit any significant NYC commuter traffic around Harriman or North of it.  Albany traffic would be a bigger issue, for this trip, I would imagine.  As for hotels, you could stay at the Thayer at West Point.  Historic, beautiful spot and reasonably nearby.
