I'm a blogger myself and have been checking out peoples blogs...and I've noticed a trend...food. Not sure if its just because I'm not a foodie, but it seems like all the BU's on here are regarding food. Not complaining, hell that marinara looks damn good, just an observation. I know there are some exceptions, Just Dandy's blog comes to mind. I guess I'm curious if there are people out there who blog about life in general rather than posting about food?
I have my blog set to private, invite only, which is I guess why I post stuff thats effecting my life (house selling stuff, cousins cancer stuff, etc). If you are interested in checking it out, email me at renald99 @ hotmail . com (take out the spaces, obviously) and then page me on here.

Re: Question for Bloggers
Maybe as new wives we're all becoming little June Cleavers?
You won't find too much food on my blog. But if I actually did cook, I'd put it on the J9 cooking blog -- which, btw, hasn't been updated in over a month!.
My blog is now turning into a shopping/outfit of the day blog. I just can't decide what it should be. Good thing I only have 21 followers.
ETA to fix stupid error!

Hawkilady, I'm totally trying that marinara.
I'm so not a food person though. I'm all about quick and basic meals. Plus our life is chaos lately, we're in the middle of a year FULL of huge changes. I use my blog as a way to document our life together. I've had one for years, and it goes clear back to when D and I first started dating. Its fun to look back and see how far we've come.
Another question:
What blogs do you follow?
Here are ones I visit
http://blog.cjanerun.com/ (got into this one via her sisters blog-nie nie dialogues below, but I like jane's style of writing. Its endearing.)http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/ (nie was in a horrible plane crash, but survived.)
http://catherineschatter.blogspot.com/ (adoption blog. she got her daughter in her arms just the other day)
http://salsainchina.blogspot.com/ (another adoption blog, but twins this time. I like the writing style here too)

I sometime regret not having a long-running blog (personal or public) that I could look back on like I can with childhood diaries.
I have some of the blogs I follow listed in my blogroll on my blog. But they're pretty much mostly fashion/beauty blogs with some J9ers thrown in.

Mamie: Who is Donna Cleaver? All I can think of is June Cleaver.
I think it is great that all of you have something to blog. I for one do not have an exciting enough life to blog. I don't cook often so that would be pointless for me. I love to bake but don't think writing a blog about that would be worth it. So blog on J9'ers blog on!!!!

I'd def recommend to people to keep one up documenting their lives together even if its set to private. I love that I can go on ours and revisit the day we got our dog, our house, DH's kidney donation, etc. Its eye-opening to see what was a big deal back then that just isn't right now...or to remember trying times and see how far we've come. I actually make myself update it like once a week or so even when we're batshiit crazy busy just so we'll have it to look back on.
I'd recommed a tight privacy setting if you put personal info in there though. I once had one of DH's ex-gfs more or less stalk me on mine. Kind of freaked me out when I realized she had access to the names and such of loved ones. Just something to keep in mind.

haha I definitely don't have anything to blog about, but I do it anyway.
I follow like 9000 blogs and have them separated by category. It's slightly ridiculous.
JuneBug doesn't a diary do the same thing?
Mamie: Sorry didn't mean to bold the flub. We'll just say Donna Cleaver is Junes sister in law who thought her white glove cleaning job was way better. She was also highly jealous of the fact that Ward gave June their mother's pearls.
Yes, but there are features I like on blogger that a paper diary can't do so well. Integrating photos and tagging posts come to mind as examples.
ETA: I think its totally a preference thing. I've tried paper diaries and a Word document in the past. I like the online version best for some of the features. Mine is currently viewable only to DH and I (if I give J09'ers permission it would probably only be temporary), so it pretty much is a diary...only I can access it anywhere I can get internet and its pretty well inaccessible to others.

I also follow tons of blogs... something I never did until I started wedding planning actually but once I figured out Google Reader I was hooked. I have wedding blogs (Snippet and Ink, Style Me Pretty), a few life blogs mostly related to people that I actually know in real life or on the Nest, and tons of food blogs (my faves are Annies Eats, Good Things Catered, The Way the Cookie Crumbles, Elly Says Opa, Big City Cooking - they are all Nesties on the Whats Cooking board, plus Smitten Kitchen, Brown Eyed Baker, and Bakerella). I also subscribe to Pioneer Woman because I like her recipes but her blog annoys me because it has 2 million pictures per entry and her RSS feed drives me nuts because all I really want is the cooking piece but I get everything.
(and that was probably way more detail than you wanted to know...)

My blog is about my dog. Only, I'm too lazy to keep up with it and I've only ever written one post.

Yeah, I suck...
I had started one right before our wedding, and did nothing to it once we were married. Last night, I decided I'd start it up again. So, here's the link for it...pretty boring right now, though.
